MoBiMouse: the "just point" translatorMoBiMouse is a Windows-based software that automatically translates any word and phrase in any application without switching from the running application to any external dictionary program. All the user needs to do is leaving the mouse pointer over the desired word on the screen, and a tooltip-like balloon containing the translation will pop-up over the word Description of the product Most of the users sitting before web browsers meet foreign texts but want to neither run another software tool, nor even click with their mouse, just want to know the translation or explanation of a word or phrase, as fast as possible. MoBiMouse helps here: you don't need to press a button or click the mouse. Just leave the mouse cursor over the word or expression you would like to understand, and MoBiMouse shows a tooltip-like bubble with the translation of the text in the language you understand. Using tooltips is not new, but this tooltip does not belong to any other application. It is a very important novelty, if we add that any sort of information can be shown in the balloon, not only dictionaries. The company and the team MorphoLogic has been established in 1991 by three former researchers of academic labs, and still owned by them. MorphoLogic has the distinction of being the only organization in Hungary that is doing R&D solely in the field of Human Language Technologies. Microsoft, Lotus, IBM, Rank Xerox, Inso, etc. have licensed MorphoLogic's developments - spelling checkers, grammar checkers, hyphenators, thesauri and dictionaries - for various (mostly CEE) languages. Over the past several years, multilingual applications have become into the limelight of MorphoLogic: the MoBiDic translation support system is used by thousands of employees of the Hungarian Government's network and by the consortium of translation agencies translating EU legislation into Hungarian.MorphoLogic currently has 15 employees. The development staff consists of 10 computational linguists and software engineers.
