Summary of the project:

Due to the food manufacturing beside the main products are rising by-product and waste of fruit and vegetable origin in huge volume of which further utilization in Hungary haven’t solved today. According to the manufacturing of raw material of animal origin together with the main products are coming different by types of dangerous waste materials among others sewage-sludge obtaining not modern further-utilization treatments in Hungary at present. The food manufacturing also provides waste materials in huge volume due to the packaging operations.

In frame of this project the above mentioned three environmental pollution sources will to be treated and solved in one system. The aim is to find out their common solution with utilization of by ands waste materials for making value added new food product, for application as source of energy and for utilization in amelioration.

The activities in the frame of the project are aiming:

to elaborate method for making food fiber products from fruit and vegetable waste materials provided by pressing and sieving

to work out technology of grape seed oil from grape waste seed

to elaborate new composting technology for vegetable (plant), animal and biodegradable packaging waste materials and the products to be utilize in amelioration

to find out new method for getting source of energy from fat part of sewage sludge

to elaborate new technology for producing bone products obtaining better phosphate absorption ability in the soil

to work out producing technology of biodegradable packaging materials for replacement of plastics
