Structural and biochemical investigation of plant defense

In recent years, beside the widespread chemical and biological control the conscious usage of the mechanisms of the plant defense became important. Plant defense response is composed from several events and during the plant – pathogen interactions most of them are acting. To use (and modify) this natural resistance we ought to understand better these processes and their regulation. Our proficiency in the cellular and molecular events and in the signal transduction gives possibility to take advantage of this defense response with high efficiency in the agriculture.
