Rabbit: reproduction, nutrition, behaviour, meat

Our research work includes all aspects of rabbit breeding (genetics, housing, feeding, pathology and management).

The University takes actively part (WG1, WG2, WG4, WG5 and MC) in a COST action 848 ("Multi-facetted research in rabbits: A model to develop a healthy and safe production in respect with animal welfare") in which currently 14 countries are collaborating in five WG’s (WG1: reproduction, WG2: housing and welfare, WG3: pathology, WG4: nutrition and WG5: meat and meat quality). According to personal communication with the Chairman of this action, the participating countries are all expected to be interested and intend to work together in the frame of a future EU6 project in this field.
